Friday 25th June
Options - Letters have been sent home today confirming pupils' option choices for years 10 & 11. Thank you to Mr Gumery for all the hard work needed to coordinate such a complicated task. If you have any queries regarding the information sent home please sned a note into school with your child or email myself or Mr Gumery. It is essential that any problems are ironed out before the summer holidays.
Duke of Edinburgh Award- Thank you to the many pupils who have signed up for the D of E with Mr Smithson. It is very important that they now maintain this enthusiasm and stay committed to get the most out of this exciting opportunity.
Health fair - Wednesday 30th June. Year 9 will be off timetable all day to participate in 9 different activities connected to health, fitness and well being. Uniform must be worn - but trainers are allowed.
Uniform - Please ensure that any uniform bought ready for the Autumn term is correct school uniform. If you are at all unsure, please check the uniform section of this webpage. A letter will also be sent home before the summer holidays.
Equipment - Although the vast majority of pupils are coming to school well equipped, it is clear that a significant number are not making this important. We will do our best in school to reinforce how vital it is to be well prepared (and in good habits of taking personal responsibility) but we would very much appreciate your support at home too. More on this in the Autumn.
Monday 7th June
Apologies for being offline for so long - our link from the main school website was accidentally removed twice whilst being updated.
GCSE Options - Pupils should have their option choices confirmed soon. Subject allocations for year 10 are just one piece of the whole school's timetable jigsaw. It is more important that all the details are correct than rush to give out information hastily.
Lead up to summer (core subjects) - English and Science are concentrating efforts on preparing pupils for the skills needed for coursework tasks in years 10 & 11.
Maths are preparing pupils for the first module of their GCSE course. Pupils will sit a mock exam on Thursday 24th June in the school hall.
The only reason this is not the actual GCSE exam is due to syllabus changes due for the next academic year (pupils will sit the module 1 exam for real in November). The exam in June is still very important because it will help show pupils where they stand and will partly determine setting in year 10.
Click on the revision link above for resources to help with preparations.

All pupils will receive their own exam timetable, they must be at the right place 10 minutes before exams are due to start & pupils must ensure they bring the right equipment.
